Our group was officially created mid-2014 and the group went on their first ride a couple months later, which was from the dealership in Latrobe PA to Johnstown PA.

Important Information About Our RidesMeeting Spots, Kick Stands Up Times Announced Prior to Ride. All rides are weather permitting. A determination will be made by Thursdays of cancellations/changes due to unfavorable weather forecasts. Saturdays and Sundays may be interchanged due to inclement weather. Details of times and meeting spots will be sent out via email and posted to our website and to our Facebook Group mid-week (Wednesdays) of the ride. Make sure we have your current email address. For those who prefer shorter rides or who want to suggest additional rides, they can be incorporated into the off weeks. It is the responsibility of the individual who organizes other rides to get the invitation out to all perspective riders. Remember, our Chapter requires all riders in events organized by the chapter to review and sign the IMRG Waiver.

Times and meet-up locations are announced to members ahead of a ride. If we cannot go on a planned ride due to weather or other circumstances, it will not be rescheduled.

January
1/23 (Fri): 2026 Kickoff IMRG 1939 Board Meeting at Hillview Motorsports West
Our chapter board meets to conduct annual planning.
February
2/20 (Fri): IMRG 1939 Board Meeting at Hillview Motorsports West
The Board works to finalize the year’s planned events.
March
3/14 (Sat): 2026 Kickoff Membership Meeting at Hillview Motorsports West
Our annual season kickoff meeting open to all members and prospective members, which includes a social with food, chapter updates, a review of the 2026 plan, and a presentation and group discussion on Group Riding. The Group Riding session is based on the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s “Share the Adventure” training program.
April
4/16 (Thu): First Aid/CPR/AED/Stop-the Bleeding Class (Evening) at the Mutual Aid EMS Greensburg Training Center
Open to our chapter members, this motorcycle-focused, American Heart Association certified class will take place from 6:00 to 9:30 PM. The $50 course provides a 2-year digital certification card upon successful completion.
4/25 (Sat): Road Captain 2026 Ride Plan Meeting at Hillview Motorsports West
Road Captains, leads, sweeps meet to review the ride plan, gear, and group riding safety, procedures, and techniques.
May
5/2 (Sat): Long Ride: Cook Forest - Cooksburg, PA
Cook Forest State Park is an 8,500-acre park known for its old-growth forest, including the "Forest Cathedral," a National Natural Landmark. The park is situated near the Clarion River and is popular for canoeing, kayaking, and tubing.
5/17 (Sun): Short Ride: Ohiopyle State Park - Ohiopyle, PA
Located on the southern reaches of the Laurel Ridge, Ohiopyle State Park encompasses approximately 20,500 acres of rugged natural beauty and serves as the gateway to the Laurel Highlands. Passing through the heart of the park, the rushing waters of the Youghiogheny [yawki-gay-nee] River Gorge are the centerpiece for Ohiopyle. The “Yough” [yawk] provides some of the best whitewater boating in the eastern United States, as well as spectacular scenery.
5/24 (Sun): Long Ride: Coopers Rock State Forest - Bruceton Mills, WV
Less than 15 miles from Morgantown WV, Coopers Rock State Forest is home to some of the best views in WV. The park features canyon overlooks, historic sites, more than 50 miles of trails, sandstone cliffs for climbing and bouldering and a cross-country ski terrain.
June
6/3 – 7 (Wed-Sun): Event: IMRG NE Region Annual Get-Together - Gettysburg, PA
The, now, annual gathering of the NE Region IMRG chapters at historic Gettysburg. The town is known for Gettysburg National Battlefield, site of a turning point in the Civil War and the site of Abraham Lincoln’s 1863 Gettysburg Address.
6/13 (Sat): Long Ride: East Broad Top Railroad - Rockhill Furnace, PA
A 3-ft narrow gauge historic and heritage railroad that operated from 1871 to 1956, it is one of the United States' oldest and best-preserved narrow-gauge railroads.
6/28 (Sun): Long Ride: Deep Creek Lake, MD
Deep Creek Lake is a man-made reservoir. The lake is home to a wide variety of aquatic life, including freshwater fish and aquatic birds. A unique four-season destination, the mountain climate gives the area four distinct seasons, with plenty of adventure and action for each season.
July
7/5 (Sun): Short Ride: Flight 93 Memorial - Stoystown, PA
The Flight 93 National Memorial is a memorial built to commemorate the crash of United Airlines Flight 93, which was one of four aircraft hijacked during the September 11 attacks in 2001.
7/10-11 (Fri-Sat): Indian Demo Days at Hillview Motorsports West
Learn about and ride a new bike! Friday evening includes the VIP group ride for members. Join chapter members riding the new bikes on a specially planned route with a few stops along the way to switch bikes.
7/18 (Sat): Long Ride: Horseshoe Curve National Historic Landmark – Altoona, PA
The Horseshoe Curve is a three-track railroad curve on Norfolk Southern Railway's Pittsburgh Line in Blair County, Pennsylvania. The curve is roughly 2,375 feet long and 1,300 feet in diameter.
7/25 (Sat): Short Ride: Rodney’s Loop and Membership Meeting and Cookout
We’ll have a chapter meeting and cookout at Hillview Motorsports West then go on one of Rodney’s selection of his curated “good local roads.”
August
8/2 (Sun): Long Ride: Cheat Lake, WV
Cheat Lake was formed in 1925 by damming the Cheat River to serve the needs of a hydroelectric generating facility, the 52-megawatt Lake Lynn Power Station. The lake was named Lake Lynn after the West Penn Power president Albert M. Lynn. Locals refused to refer to it as Lake Lynn and unofficially named it Cheat Lake. Then in 1976 the U.S. Board of Geographic Names listened to the public outcry and officially renamed it Cheat Lake.
8/9 (Sun): Short Ride: Buttermilk Falls - New Florence, PA
This 48-acre park features a 45-foot waterfall, a hiking trail, and a viewing platform behind the falls.
8/15 (Sat): Annual Cookout at Hillview Motorsports West
Great food, games, and camaraderie for chapter members and their families. This is our 2nd annual!
8/22 (Sat): Long Ride: “Martinsburg Mountain” - Martinsburg, PA
Martinsburg is surrounded by a rich agricultural community in the heart of Morrison’s Cove, one of the most beautiful and fertile valleys in central Pennsylvania.
8/29 (Sat): Short Ride: Luke’s Loop
Luke’s selection of his curated “good local roads” with no real destinations other than stopping for food/ice cream along the way.
September
9/6 (Sun): Long Ride: Blackwater Falls State Park, WV
Located in the Allegheny Mountains of Tucker County, Blackwater Falls State Park is named for the amber waters of Blackwater Falls, a 57-foot cascade tinted by the tannic acid of fallen hemlock and red spruce needles. The falls, along with a few of the park’s other features like Elakala Falls, Lindy Point and Pendleton Point Overlook, are some of the state’s most photographed spots.
9/12 – 13 (Sat-Sun): Overnight Ride: PA Grand Canyon
The PA Grand Canyon begins south of Ansonia along US Route 6 and continues for approximately 47 miles. The maximum depth of the canyon is 1,450 feet at Waterville, near the southern end. At Leonard Harrison and Colton Point State Parks, the depth is more than 800 feet. These overlooks offer the most spectacular views.
9/19 (Sat): Event: National Charity Ride: Luke’s Loop, Extended Version
Our own charity ride to raise funds and awareness on an extended version of Luke’s selection of his curated “good local roads” with no real destinations other than stopping for food/ice cream along the way.

10/16 (Fri): IMRG 1939 Board Meeting at Hillview Motorsports West
Regular meeting of the chapter board.
November
11/7 (Sat): IMRG 1939 General Membership Meeting and Tech Session at Hillview Motorsports West
Updates and review of 2026, board member elections, and tech session for chapter members, their guests, and prospective members.
December
12/19 (Sat): Annual Holiday Party (Location is TBD)
Wrap-up the year and celebrate the festive season.
